A Reflection About God’s Holiness

Based on Isaiah 6:1-7, let us reflect on the following :

o Holiness is all about God. We can neither comprehend the notion of holiness, nor seek sanctification apart from God, for he is the source and standard of all that is right, perfect and good. Every aspect of our existence is measured against his perfection of being.

o Whenever we catch a glimpse of God’s holiness - which often occurs when we worship him - we get confronted with our sin, obviously because the gap between God’s holiness and human sinful situation is huge.

o Conviction of sin leads to confession, and confession leads to atonement.

o Atonement of sin opens our spiritual ears to the voice of the Lord, an audible voice looking for a servant to send with a message of salvation to the nations.

Let’s get used to setting aside a minute or two to meditate on the majestic holiness of God and his greatness in our daily devotions. I am sure that will not leave us indifferent. We will be amazed and refreshed by his holiness.

In Jesus !
